Why would any elected official introduce a bill to make it harder for people to vote? Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. Making it harder for people who are low- and middle-class workers to vote allows the corporations and well-funded policy groups to craft and dictate the message for elected officials. They even help write the legislation that suppresses the ability to vote.
